The FIDAL project held its third plenary meeting this week in Fornebu, Norway. The meeting was an opportunity for EKTACOM to demonstrate one of its applications in this project. Thanks to the prototype of its new generation of virtualized video streaming services, running on 5G Stand Alone Edge nodes, it was possible for two musicians to play together remotely. The system included an image processing and video transcoding component that also allowed the remote musicians to be broadcast live within the Telenor Expo building.
