INDUX-R LARGE SCALE TRIALS AT EKTACOM
On 5–6 October 2026, EKTACOM hosted two days of Large Scale Trials for INDUX-R UC5 – NOMADE Cars Sport Immersion, bringing our immersive platform into the hands of real users.
Participants experienced three different modes, all integrated into the same simulation platform:
▶️ Replay – reliving a real recorded driving experience through synchronized video, audio and vehicle data.
👥 Coaching – becoming a virtual passenger in a real vehicle and experiencing the action remotely in real time.
🎮 Remote RC Driving – remotely controlling an RC vehicle while receiving a live immersive view directly from the vehicle.
Over these two days, we carried out 57 test sessions across the three modes.
A key achievement was the ability to switch between Replay, Coaching and Remote RC Driving almost instantly, using the same simulator and user environment.
Behind the scenes, 5 people from EKTACOM and 1 from FORTH were mobilised to operate the platform, supervise the sessions and collect user feedback.
These two days provided valuable real-world feedback on INDUX-R UC5 and on the different ways NOMADE Cars can turn real-world video, audio and vehicle data into immersive experiences.
